We planted Semillon as cuttings direct in the vineyard in 1998, and nurtured then through many difficult years, of which 2016 was one of the best. Plentiful rain led to decent canopy growth and yield. The resulting wine is on the fruitier side, medium bodied developing classic turpentine and minerally layers over vibrant citrus. Delicious and still getting better.

    Tues 32.3.20.
    Picked up a number bottles from the winery 18 months ago on way home from holidays. So last night had the 2016 Semillon for dinner with curried sausages.
    Light, young and fresh a beautiful drop.
    Very happy we stopped in to say hi, the Rose I had months ago and olives never lasted long in the jars.
