The ripest figs are graded and cut in half, then immediately dried in a dehydrator at low temperature (less than 45decC) to preserve their full natural colour, aroma, flavour, vitamins and natural enzymes. Compare them with imported dried figs which have been cooked, dried and rehydrated, and often packed with preservatives. This is a raw food packed with no preservatives.
Serving Suggestion: Snack food, finely chopped in salads, mixed into muesli, etc.

These figs are magnificent. It is very reassuring to be able to source figs which are grown and dried in Australia, and which are dried by a method that preserves their purity, colour and nutritional value. I have already used some for a superb fig and olive tapenade which, served on home-made crostini, was much appreciated by my guests. Thank you, Rosnay, for a beautiful product.
