“Whimsical” and “quirky” may best describe Sue Hodge’s latest series of art works. Sue is a professional landscape painter and in the last couple of years she has really defined her style. This Exhibition will contain all new works showcasing how she loves bending the rules of perspective and the use colour (like Van Gogh) to emphasize depth and space.
Inspired by her farming upbringing, Sue celebrates life on the land and in small town communities in her paintings. “I love living in the country and hope to communicate the fun and friendship that can be found here. My latest works include iconic buildings and scenes from the Central West such as Grenfell main street, Cowra Catholic church, Orange Park in Autumn.”
Sue recently won first place in the Henry Lawson Art Prize Painting Section.
Opening night is at Rosnay Cellar Door on Saturday 5th of August from 6pm. All are welcome to enjoy fine art, nibblies, wine and good company.
