Join us to discover delicious local food from Rivers Road with the official launch of the Refalo Free Range Pork farm shop at the Rosnay Cellar Door.
From 5-7pm, this outdoor stand-up sunset event will showcase the diversity and versatility of Refalo Free Range Pork and is an opportunity for you to talk to the growers David and Sarah Refalo. We will have a local chef on site who will show you what you can do with it, including:
- Caramelised Pork San Choy Bau
- Peperoni and Potato Frittata
- Open Sandwich – Olive-wood Spit-roasted Pork, with Slaw
Tastings of these will be available and Rosnay wine will be available to purchase at the bar.
Although the event is free, booking is required, and children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Description
Now located just a few kilometres from Rosnay, Refalo Free Range Pork was established in Kemps Creek in 2003, and relocated to Canowindra in 2017 to expand. The farm specialises in supplying quality free range suckling pigs to the Sydney butcher/restaurant trade.
The pigs are completely free range for their entire lives. The pigs are rotated throughout the farm on a month on – month off grazing system; also to seasonal conditionals with maintaining good pasture cover as the main goal. Fodder crops are also planted for pigs to graze off, these include barley, oats, sorghum and millet. All pigs diets are mixed on the farm. The farm has a very good water supply via an irrigation bore, which allows us to water pastures and crops.
The shelter sheds and farrowing hutches were designed by the business in the early days. These shelters are moveable by tractor.
Breeds mainly consist of Hamrock sows (F1 Hampshire / Duroc cross) and a Large White or Landrace Boar as the Terminal Sire.
